In no particular order, by my 36th birthday, 12/04/2009 – I want to have accomplished the following – and I think this list is a bit more attainable.
- Read 1 book per month: Jan (Remember Me); Feb (Something Borrowed); Mar (Something Blue and Baby Proof); Apr (Bitter is the New Black, True Love-And other Lies); May; Jun; Jul; Aug; Sep; Oct; Nov; Dec
- Blog once a week
- Duck Boat Tour
- Visit East Texas (preferably Piney Woods)
- Visit my Aunt & Uncle in Kerrville
- Participate in 6 charitable walks/runs - Feb: Mardi Gras 5k, 2/21, Mar: Cap 10K, April: Texas 10K (we did not do it because I was not feeling well), May: Bun Run (we did a 5k, but not the charitable one), June: Round Rock 5K
- Get to a size 10
- Get (and feel) fit, be able to remove my wedding ring to clean it
- Plant my (new and improved) garden – seeds planted 2/8/09, in the ground: 03/24/09
- Go to a Rodeo
- Eat as Bess
- Eat at Malaga
- Clear up finances
- Survive GS Cookie Season, being cookie mom
- Date night with Mag once a month – we missed out on Jan and Feb, Mar (dinner – twice – thanks to KMack); Apr (spent the whole weekend together, dinner, gardening, bliss); May; Jun; Jul; Aug; Sep; Oct; Nov; Dec
- Send at least one thing via US Mail per month (card, letter, package): Jan (Bday card to Unfabulous Me); Feb (Thank you to Arabella, UF, and WTH); Mar (belated bday to TFab); Apr (GAH! I missed it); May (Mom and Dad, Mother’s and Father’s Day); Jun; Jul; Aug; Sep; Oct; Nov; Dec
- Learn to sew
- Completely convert to only reusable or paper bags for all shopping
- Cook with one new food each month (or a new use for a food): Jan (Fennel), Feb (Brussels Sprouts); Mar (dry Lentils); Apr (Cauliflower); May (Leeks); Jun; Jul; Aug; Sep; Oct; Nov; Dec
- Make my own pasta
- Stay on top of chores in house – like dusting that get away from me
- Spend more time and effort getting ready – hair, nails, make-up
- Organize garage w/Mag
- Take a vacation with my family
- Have a girl’s night
- Stay positive, be grateful for something each day
- Get a cowboy hat and/or cowboy boots — Moved from 35 x 35
- Finish my US Flag Project that I started almost 10 years ago - Moved from 35 x 35
- Ride a horse – Moved from 35 x 35
- Drink a Mint Julep (or three)
- Learn to use chopsticks
- Get my teeth fixed (root canal and rebuild), (fillings on right lower), (fillings left), (extractions), (crowns), (cleaning) – we might run out of insurance coverage before we finish for the year.
- Make House Numbers for above the garage
- Spring Clean my life – clear out the “clutter”
- Learn Dreamweaver – improve my resume and be useful at work
- Give up the snooze button (from Lent)
