One of the ways I am able to keep a happy face on and a positive attitude (most of the time) is music. I love to get lost in a song. There are a few artists that I try to listen to each week that keep me smiling, singing and tapping my toes:
- Ingrid Michaelson
- Brad Paisley
- George Strait
- Sara Bareilles
- Dierks Bentley
What do you listen to?

I watched it l
ast night … and … although Teyona had some nice pics, I do not like her and her squinty eyes and flailing arms when she talks. I think Aminat has a beautiful body and perfect skin – but an effed up personality and did not speak well. Allison has a great look and a likeable personality. As for model qualities – I think Celia was their gal. She had the knowledge, drive, and look. And, I sure as heck did not think she looked old!
I’m a bit sad to see Paulina go … she often offered a different perspective and I liked her much better than Twiggy! I hope they fill her seat well for the next season. And I think they need moer Mr. Jay … I love love love him.

My sweet Mag works for a print shop in Georgetown, about 20 min from home. While some of days are completely crazed and medication worthy, he does have the pleasure of getting to know some pretty awesome and talented people. Read more »

Traditionally, I have not been a huge soup fan. However, in my quest to eat healthier and try new foods, I have been very intrigued with soups and stews. I like the idea of tossing a bunch of stuff in a pot and letting it simmer, while I sort laundry, pick weeds, water the garden, play with the chicken. I found this recipe in my Family Circle, and pulled it out to make earlier in the week. Time got away from me … and I still had the recipe, so I thought I might whip it up while Mag prepared the remainder of my Mother’s Day Feast. That was not to be had … Mag was QUITE the gentlman and spoiled the pants off me all weekend long. I hope you all love this soup as much as I did – I actually sipped the remaining broth right from the bowl – something I have not done in probably 10 years. Read more »

Working with WTH, I get to hear a lot about Southern Cornbread. I like it all, and Mag prefers the salty stuff. I found a recipe online and tweaked it quite a bit – but it turned out super fantastic!! Read more »

I think I started celebrating my Mother’s Day festivities on Friday! TN’s Field Day was on Friday and Mag and I both took the day off of work to volunteer – which is a treat in and of itself to both have the same day off of work!
After our stint at volunteering, Mag and I went to get me a new mouse for my computer, because mine happened to die and refused to allow me to touch my damn computer, which caused crying, pouting and tantrums to be occur on my side of the den. Read more »
